Welcome to my web site. I am a progressive and a Quaker. I teach Information Research and Philosophy at Palo Alto College. This site is aimed particularly at my students, all of whom I introduce to critical thinking and its application to their lives and what's happening in the real world right now.
Two of the most critical elements of critical thinking are open-mindedness and independent judgment. Once these mental characteristics begin to form, a natural result is a desire to apply this new mindset to current events. The purpose of this page is to facilitate concrete action once the student realizes the need for such.
