"Hunting for food (which includes begging for it) is a natural dog behavior... take the positive, fun route to solving this problem... a few simple rules:

1. "If she starts begging, calmly confine her to another room or her crate...

2. "Ask your dog to do something -- a basic command or a trick -- to earn every bit of food she gets... such as a quiet down-stay, instead of frantic begging.

3. " her begging in a positive direction.
