Bullmastiff

"This breed started in England and was originally a cross between the Bulldog and Mastiff breeds. Bullmastiffs make a good watchdog and stand between 24-27 inches in height at the shoulders. This dog's short, thick coat varies in color; brindle, fawn, and red with black facial features are the most common. The Bullmastiff makes an excellent family pet and are great in small surroundings" (http://www.abcpets.com/dogsnew.html#A).
